WebQuest "Alcoholism among children"

Introduction
After a long and tiresome shift one can go to a pub and have a couple of drinks. What can be wrong with that? The thing is that adults often forget that children are watching closely and form their own opinion about the world judging by the behaviour of grown-ups. In the 21 century children start drinking alcohol at a very young age and the problem is becoming bigger.

Process
Surf the net and answer the following questions:

1) Drinking alcohol
What are the most and the least drinking countries?
What is "Legal drinking age"? When are people allowed to drink alcohol in Russia? In the USA? In UK?
How widespread is underage drinking?

2) Alcoholism
What is alcoholism? What are the signs of it?

3) Underage Drinking
What are the main characteristics of underage drinking?
Point out main statistic results about where youth get alcohol and where youth drink it.
What are the main reasons for children to drink alcohol\ to start drinking alcohol?
Do you think that parent's influence has an effective result? Why? Why not? Answer according to statistics.

Project
Make your own community and family studies research project based on the information above and on the examples below. Make a presentation about the results of the survey. In your presentation include the general information about underage drinking.
