A Treasure Hunt on the role of the Great Britain in The Seven Years’ War

Introduction.
The 20th century was a one that astonished people by its scope and immensity so nowadays people are accustomed to the idea that the scope and the immensity are the features of the latest period of human history but it is not an immutable rule. Sometimes the colossal events took place centuries ago. The Seven Years’ War was one of the most vivid examples of it. Despite the fact it occurred in the middle of the 18th century its scale and the consequences were so grandiose that some historians consider it the World War. You can make your opinion are they right or not surfing the links below.  

The Questions.
When did the war start?
The war started in May, 1756.
What were the reasons for the Great Britain to be involved in the war?
Great Britain tried to defended its interests.  There was an antagonism between Great Britain and the Bourbon Dynasty
What countries were involved in the war?
There were 10 countries involved: Prussia, Great Britain, Portugal, France, Austria, Russia, Spanish Empire, Sweden, Saxon, Mughal Empire and their allies.
What economic and strategic interests were the reasons of the war?
The main interest was to control North America and to maintain the dominance over it.
What were the strong points of the British strategy?
Britain established the priority at sea. Britain wanted to block all the enemy ports. It succeeded.
What political changes were the consequences of the war?

The Big Question
How does the present world order connected with the results of the Seven Year’s War? Can this war be viewed as the world war? Why?
It is no doubt that the present world order is connected with the results of the Seven Year’s War. For example, Prussia consolidated the lands that are known s Germany now. But this war cannot be viewed as the world war because it covered only 2 regions: Central Europe and a part of East coast of current territories of the USA.
